As I write this, I’m listening to Gambamba Dancer, at the part where Oreo Reona breaks into jazz-style scat singing. Wicked Awesome. This song is just one example of the creative breadth of Gacharic Spin. They are not your average J-Pop band. This is not your average J-Pop album. There’s hard rock that hearkens to their Doll$Boxx days. There’s vocoder-induced dance/pop anthems. There’s of course the obligatory kawaii ballad. But every song has that unique high energy touch that Gacharic Spin brings to all of their work. Between Tomo-zo’s power chords, F Chopper Koga’s bass slaps, Oreo Reona’s dynamic synths and Hana’s heavy drum riffs, you have an extremely well-thought out album that is worth checking out.
