Bowie transition album from accoustic to Blues Rock. Width of a Circle becomes one of the greatest live rock and roll songs in future live concerts Bowie would hold. Mick Ronson's guitar work live is some of the best you will ever hear. Watch Mick Ronson live on the Spyders from Mars movie.
  • Get the vinyl instead -- this version sounds like nothing

My favorite. But get the vinyl instead! (Or something besides this version). The sound on this remixed version totally wrecks the album. This album was simple, classic, analog recording, great players making something work with their instruments and voice without adding a bunch of production or special effects. The remix here is like doing Mozart when your stage is set up to play Beethoven-- Mozart really sounds way better with a few people than it does with a full symphony orchestra. There's a YouTube version out there now which will give you a much better idea what this music is all about.

The remastered version of this is horrendous. Sidenote: if, like me, you're searching for the version featured in Metal gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain, it's a cover done by Midge Ure
  • Amazing album horrible mastering

Skip the 2015 remaster and stick with the 1999 instead. Way too muddy for modern electronics. As for the actual album it's fantastic. Gave it two stars so review would stick out and help people avoid this remaster.

I like it, Bowie has always been a top artist and lead the way with new music and trends. Good CD
