I’ve been watching The Chromatica Ball on Max, which is incredibly good. The tracks from Chromatica performed at the concert are brilliant.
This is her finest record and one of the best CDs of all time.

Gaga’s take on underground hyperpop is an extremely satisfying listen. Though the execution wavers quite a bit in the first third of the album, Gaga more than makes up for it with the last two sections. Standout tracks include Replay, Babylon, Sour Candy, & Enigma. However, the defining moments are notable in Replay as it unravels the inner dialogue of trauma with a sample that hits harder than any Gaga track before. Another defining moment can be heard in Babylon where Gaga employs a gospel chorus & intoxicating saxophone that transports the listener back to 90’s house music. Not to mention the transition from Chromatica II into 911 being one of the best transitions of the 20’s. Unfortunately, a true highlight from this record is only available on the deluxe with 1000 Doves (Piano Demo). Gaga delivers a vocal performance that soars above the piano effortlessly balancing on a tightrope of power & softness. It’s a solid album more than worthy of love.
