Hush!

This recording is a testament to the many side of Ana Popovic, showcasing her powerful vocals and guitar virtuosity. She plays blues, slide, jazz, funk, ballads and everything in between with the skill and competence of a veteran, well beyond her years. She is backed up by a group of talented musicians that round out this mix and make it a truly exceptional collection. In addition to the core bass, drums and keyboards, we are also treated to an upright bass on Minute ‘Till Dawn, and a strong horn section that nicely rounds out several of the numbers. In short, this is a first class production by a top notch entertainer. If you’re a fan of Stevie Ray, Jimi, Eric, Duane, Johnny, etc. you’re goibng to fall in love with Ana. She pays tribute to all of them and then takes the music to new heights. I’ve seen Ana in concert twice, so far. Take my word for it; she can set the room on fire with her stage presence and fiery guitar work. On second thought, don’t take my word for it. Check the touring schedule and go and see her for yourself. You’ll walk away a believer. In the meantime, Hush is an excellent way to get acquainted with this remarkable woman and her soul-felt blues.
