I love it was a bluesy rocker finally does a blues record that is actually blues. Slash’s sound is in his hands and his heart is the preamp, and it always comes through. Well done.

Quite possibly the worst album ever recorded.

I don't understand the negative reviews - especially ones dated before this ablum even came out. If this doesn't do it for Rock fans, that's fine. But the lineage of Blues to Rock is well documented. Before there was Guns N' Roses, there was The Rolling Stones. Before the Stones, there was Howlin' Wolf. And before Wolf there were many others that created a then-unique genre of music that is rich and deep and passionate. This album feels like a celebration of that. If you want to go spin Appetite for Destruction for the 4,763rd time, have at it...AFD was and will always be a remarkable album by any standard. But I am really digging this homage to the roots of Rock N' Roll. It sounds "live" and raw and raunchy…as it should. There is something old, something new, something borrowed and the whole darn thing is BLUE. Enjoy it and have fun! Maybe explore where these songs came from and the original artists that created them…the music you love came from this.

I can’t believe the negative reviews for this. Slash has proven over and over again that he’s so much more than the guitarist from GNR. As a huge fan of both the blues (and Chris Stapleton) and my love for GNR (I was at Riverport) this album is exactly what I wanted right now! For those of you who weren’t aware - Slash was heavily influenced by the Blues. I think this is amazing and for the first time ever I had to download a few Slash songs for my mom.

Enough of these songs are pretty good so I bought the whole album. Nice to hear his take on some standards and like that he has different singers on them.
  • Trash music for has beens. Chris has lost a fan.

I'm disappointed in an artist like Chris that had a band like Steeldrivers with Gospel themes and now he's full 180 collaborating with Satanic hedonists. Another one bites the dust.

Slash’s amazing guitar work paired up with 11 equally outstanding singers and musicians. Every track is a winner.
