This is some of Snoop’s best work. Dr Dre knows how to get the best out of him. Snoop is rapping with a hunger like he really wanted to show that he can still rap with the best of them and to not let his laid back nature fool you. The whole album is fire, but the tracks that stand out for me is “Hard Knocks,” “Now or Never,” “Shangri-La,” “Sticcy Situation,” and “Gunz n Smoke.”
Pleasantly Surprised

This album is what an originator should do once they have seen life and matured. I hope the bad reviews are bots, bald head freaks, or foreign government agents because no American that is a Hip Hop head should be throwing shade at OGs of the culture. This album is amazing.
Disappointed

This album does not reflect the true Snoop & Dre nostalgia that we’re used to. It seems like it was produced by someone who is trying to target people of today’s generation, and totally out of touch with the collaboration Dre & Snoop’s authentic vibes. I don’t like a single song on here. I was expecting something similar to Snoop’s Algorithm album, which is fire compared to this garbage.

Album is absolutely horrible. For being a Snoop & Dre album. Very disappointing. Not 1 song is good.
It’s not G-Funk, but still, this album is solid!

I’m certain that when most heard that Dr. Dre would produce Snoops next album, fans expected the magic and sounds of Doggystyle — a Doggystyle 2.0 record. While Missionary isn’t Doggystyle-ish, still, it’s a solid album. Yes, G-funk and rhymes about low riders are some of the defining elements of both Dre and Snoops careers, and everlasting fan favorites, both Snoop and Dre have evolved to new creative heights. Missionary is solid in its own right. Period. Hopefully there will be a “next episode” i.e. “Dr. Dre & Snoop” full album collaboration!
