The quintesential "80's" sound

Toto broke into the top 40's with this abum, the true soundtrack to every school dance and MTV Video (back when MTV played music/videos) and Rosanna broke into the sound with a crash.
The tempo, beat and keyboard are everything the 80's were, and it holds up still today, 42 years later.
Africa, one of the coolest, deep and toe-tapping song to ever come out. Even today, with remakes it's still one of the most iconic rips of the 80's. Stacking up to Relax, Bang Your Head and even Sunglasses at night (I know I'm mentioning several years with these) but back then, the radio played older songs with new, so a Friday night on the local radio station, you'd easily hear all of these, throw in a little "Hold me now" and Drive, and it was a great Friday night.

this.is.toto-ly.awesome. This album is the best. A VERY UNDERRATED track from this album is “afraid of love”. It’s my favorite song off the album and think it needs more recognition. The riff is on point and is just amazing. Rosanna is really good too. Being a teen in modern times is ehhh, but with this type of music, I can pretend for a bit like I’m in the 80s.

This album is amazing. If you’re a fan of 80’s rock, this has to be an album you listen to. The winner of the album of the year at the Grammys, IV by Toto. I love the feeling of this album and all of their albums (tbh). But this one is superior. It’s a feel good album. It will always be one of my favorite albums.
Am I the only one?

This band is tight! they could lay down a track in one or two takes and they never used a click when recording. They where so tight you didn't miss any quality if you were lucky enough to see them live. For a little more rock and harder edge of TOTO check out album Kingdom of Desire, Jeff Porcaro's last album before his tragic passing in 1992. The discography of this bands members is staggering total of 225 grammy's . They should be in the Rock Hall of Fame! They all are in The Musicans Hall of Fame
