Martina is a talent all her own, with a sensibility toward caring that very few have. Her songs love broadly, and her arms wrap tightly too give a feeling of comfort and home. She was the best of her time, and has exemplified grace and beauty beyond her peers. One of the true greats in every possible way.

My mom is just like the mom in Concrete Angel. I just discovered the song after my mom had an outburst and it made me feel so much better. Thank you Martina❤️❤️❤️.
"Through the wind and the rain
She stands hard as a stone
In a world that she can't rise above
But her dreams give her wings
And she flies to a place
Where she's loved."
Love this album!

I had almost forgotten about this song!
When I just heard it again I welled with tears and shivered with gratitude for Him and Martina. I was so lonely and unloved and neglected when I was growing up. My father was not around, my Mom hardly was either struggling to keep us afloat (she refused to accept welfare) and we moved all over to boot - so I never had one friend for very long.
Hearing this song again, I suddenly recalled how I'd close my eyes and sing and cry to this song back then, imagining one day the wonderful man I would marry and the children I'd have and love as I was never loved.
Well, we haven't had the kids yet, but I have been married for a decade now to the most beautiful man I have ever known...and I am at last safe in the arms of love. In a way, Martina's song showed me that I was all along. God's arms were holding me tight and carrying me through to now.
Thank you thank you thank you, Martina, for the love and comfort and joy you bring to the rest of us.
