If you want to know who's holdin down real hip hop, the 1stt place to start is Skillz. He has been doing this for a minute and you can tell by this album. When you have an emcee who can go from simple to complex in 1.3 seconds, he's not an emcee no more. He is a lyricists. Skillz is truly a lyricsts (a dying art nowadays). I can't thank of a track on here that I don't like, but I will give my top 5: 1. Don't Act like you don't know - High caliber production with solid lyrics from both Free and Skillz 2. I'm gon Make It - Inspriational song. Got me through a lot of hard times. Recommended 3. Prechin to the Chior - WOAH!! Skillz can tell some stories and this one keeps you on the edge of your iPod. 4. So far So Good - Another inspirational song letting you know that you can do anything you put your mind to. 5. Hip-Hop Died - Sorry Nas, you lost me when you said it died. It's just sick right now and Skillz is one of those remedies.

DAMNN! Its 2 am and I am open like a token (NYC represent). This takes you back to when hip hop was good. Free lunch and block parties good. Mad love to Skillz, make it do what it do!

Feels good when you have the diversity to talk about what's on your mind and it aint the same everyday thing that every other rapper talks about. Skillz has his own swag, a dope delivery and lyrics that push the point to say Hip Hop never left. He's lyrically on point, hooks on Yeah Ya Know and Preachin to the Choir may not have ride so to speak, but content, creativity and style was on point.
