  • Great Song Writer and Singer

There is so much more to Warren Zevon than Warewolves of London. Check out his other songs and albums. Listen to his lyrics they go from total bizarre, to current events of the day, to poetry. Also listen for Linda Ronstadt and many others in the background on his songs. I had the pleasure of seeing Warren a few times in concert- the man rocked the house!

good collection drawing from his first 4 albums at Asylum. Great sampler, but honestly, each of those albums are worth owning, especially his self titled "debut". (it really wasn't his debut but its considered his first). you'll wind up buying those albums once you get hooked on his music anyway lol

Where is the album Sentimental Hygiene? These are great Zevon standards but after this in 1987 he released the aforementioned album with the title track and a better Boom Boom Mancini version. The whole album is awesome.
  • Nice selection, with one exception

A good overall album if you're looking for a nice little Warren Zevon collection, with one exception - this contains an edited version of Lawyers, Guns and Money. If you know the song, you can guess what they cut out:) Dumb, this isn't FM radio. I'll be buying the Excitable Boy version and replacing this album's version with it.
  • Great introduction to a great talent

I think I first bought this CD to fill out one of those old 8 CDs for a penny record club deals. Like most people I knew "Werewolves", "Excitable Boy" and "Lawyers Guns and Money" but nothing else. Once I gave this a listen they became my least favorite songs on the disc. Every tune here is a classic - one pass and you'll be scratching your head as to how such great music slipped through the cracks of classic rock radio. A must-have.
  • An absolutely amazing album.

I love every single track on this album perhaps with the exception of Ain't That Pretty At All, which is not so much music as it is shouting. Other than that it is outsanding. Warren Zevon is incredible.
  • Berzerger is a dope

This ablum is a classic from the 80's. The songs are catchy and many of the songs are just fun to listen to. I'm not sure what Berzerger thought he was buying but this album is obviously for Warren Zevon fans and not for mullett wearing hair band fans.

Zevon's life was anything but either, but this serves as an introduction to his work. It draws heavily from the Excitable Boy album, and includes three of my favorite songs, Accidentally Like a Martyr, I'll Sleep When I'm Dead and Ain't That Pretty At All. It does, however, miss almost all of his later career. Think of this as mainstream Warren.
