I cannot even begin to tell you how long I have been waiting to get my ands on a Utrenya recording! This has been scored for five soloists, huge choir, and a large orchestra augmented with a humongus percussion section. Ever since the Shining, i have been searching for a recording. This recording, captured in the beautiful Warsaw hall, has all the panache i would expect from a penderecki recording. I strongly suggest this to any penderecki lover. The only problem: this recording is not for the weak of heart. some of the textures get very disturbing after a while. Great album. Thanks, Naxos!
