I am SO looking forward to Chapin's "Age of Miracles" album. I'm extremely grateful that she continues to make the most evocative, timely, beautifully crafted music I've ever heard. "The Dreaming Road" from Time*Sex*Love has got to be one of the most amazing songs ever written. Chapin is so much more than a singing & songwriting talent - she captures moments - moments that make life so mysterious, magical and yes, sometimes even painful... but that's life. Back in 1994, I discovered her after a traumatic breakup - my life was in turmoil. While renting a room in a friends house, I found two cd's of Chapin's and put one in the player. "Come On, Come On" wafted through the house... and for the first time in about 4 years, I didn't feel alone. "someone else get's it, too" I thought... Thanks Mary. Your lyrics and music are like a touchstone for the journeying soul, pondering spirit and vulnerable heart.
