Wonderful female group with a distictive sound and styule. Second best female group of all time after the Supremes! Wish that they had made more music to enjoy!!

It’s a huge loss for the music world with the passing of Ronnie Spector. Her and her relatives created some of the best songs in existence, in my humble opinion. It’s sad and at the same time beautiful that more people are hearing about these ladies due to Ronnie’s passing. Rest in eternal peace Ronnie. I bet you and Amy are up there singing your hearts out!

All these songs are absolutely great! These girls were amazing! "Be My Baby" is probably their best known song. Let us not however forget the brilliance in "You Came, You Saw, You Conquered", or "I Can Hear Music" or "Paradise" These girls did many wonderful songs, buy this collection while "you're so young"
  • I Can Hear Music -- FINALLY!

I have the rarest of the rare -- an original pressing of I Can Hear Music. For over three decades, I rationed it, allowing myself to play it only once a year. (Vinyl is so precious.) Of course, this release doesn't *sound* the same as the vinyl does via my $800 cartridge -- that's $800 in 1980s money, people! "But this one will do, Joey," I whisper to my Service Dog. "This'll do." These songs are brilliant, magical and belong in every music collection. Phil Spector was a genius; and Ronnie Spector his instrument. Now, Spector is a convicted murder… And Ronnie's voice is evocative of my Spent Youth listening to my sister's pink transistor radio. Be My Baby takes me back to the time when I *danced...* I danced until my feet bled in my vintage red pumps. I can no longer dance. But today, I put on my practice shoes, take my wee Service Dog into my arms and gently rock him to Ronnie's perfect voice over and over and over. "No more rationing for us, Joey!" I hear the music! FINALLY.

What a time to be alive. What a sound to take you through that time. Lyrics that were clear and understandable, situations of love between boy and girl never colored over with the macho crap and profanity allowed in the music industry today. Great memories of another time when music was real and life was simpler. I was transported listening to these songs; remembering hearing them on a transister radio. And, if you lived in the NYC area, every guys wish then was to meet and spend some time with Ronnie Spector. Oh boy...

I love them so much!! Ronnie's voice is so distinct and beautiful combined with Phil's Wall of Sound makes this group the best girl group of the sixties!! I just wished they recorded more material!!!
