I really have no idea how they could leave this song off of the essential lou reed. In fact, besides Dirty Blvd. no other songs were included off New York which I consider one of his best, if not the best solo album.

Your album Transformer showed me as a kid that there was more to the world and to thought than just what I was exposed to in my small NH hometown growing up. your music exposed me to the brilliance of mind blowing slightly seedy rock and your voice was unmistakeable and pure while the record industry around you became more and more homogenized. After hearing PERFECT DAY used in a trailer for a movie this past summer and in a current car ad I told friends I wouldnt be surprised if you had a out-of-nowhere hit with the song I wore out playing in my college dorm room decades ago. you were a huge influencre on me and I thank you for that. If nothing else we should all go download "Satellite of Love" now for respect...
