Seriously, if you are a devoted follower of Bob, you have studied Peter, and you seek the deeper meaning of the groove, dive into this with both ears. Your training is almost complete.

Natty dreadlocks, baby. I appreciate the herb you brought for me, cuz this album is so freaking dope. When you get tired of the commercialized 'island' radio stations, be sure to give this a long listen.... or two... or fifty...

monumental effort from the great black uhuru. in a hundred years this one will still be standing tall as one of the true classics in reggae music. this is one of the band's best, with sly and robbie pounding the beats and the vocal trio uhuru at their pinnacle. this cd also has 2 extra tracks at the end, great bonus versions. get this and also "red" and "guess who's coming to dinner" and you'll be loving life. these 3 early albums have all good songs. later stuff from black uhuru is less consistent but worth checking once you wear these grooves into the ground. enjoy.
