David Fincher films always have the most incredible ambient, enigmatic soundtracks. Gorgeous.

These songs emote. {especially Technically, Missing} I'm reminded of the credits that would roll at the end of someone's life....this is the soundtrack from the cradle to the grave. Great synth work. How did you do that???? sawtooth wave with a lot of distortion on the guitars. Like looking at your best friend through one of those brown beer bottles twisted, contorted, distorted. Bad dream sequence at the very end. This duo knows what they are doing Indeed!! MASSIVE RESPECT!!!

I've already reviewed this album once and I'm not sure if my original review is still posted. I listened to this album before I saw the movie or read the book. The score captured so much. Even before I saw the movie (4 times now), I listened to the score. I imagined a Midwest summer where the sun is setting and it's finally cooled down. It's accompanied by a cool breeze and a night spent in a rocking on the porch. The sky is orange and purple and everything glows..including the clouds that look like stretched cotton candy. It's heavenly. It's home. Yet, something is not quite right. Something is..."off"... And this score captures all of it. Great job!!!

Inescapable exploration of synth tones and dramatic sonic story telling. An almost call and response sonic footprint of love's first kiss and love's last revenge.
  • Strange...

I feel the creepiness from the 'Contagion' and 'Donnie Darko' soundtracks, and it works extremely well.

This album is filled to the brim with ambiance and a confident sense of place. Strangely, it feels like it would be more appropriate for a Sci-Fi film, but is so well put together in the movie. Some of the best music for a film I've heard.
