Reviews

  • Classic, wonderful

Takes me back to childhood when the fam would attend Army Band performances in Camp Zama. Our high school would get a special performance each year as well. I can still see the sticks slapping together for the *snap* in Sleigh Ride. Carol of the Bells sounds excellent, as this song should only be done by a choir.

This album contains large, lovely renditions of classic music. I grew up on Percy Faith, Mitch Miller, and others and it's nice to have them in the rotation along with these songs which I view as "High Classic" renditions. Think winter streets, department store windows, waking up to warm baked goods and Christmas presents while everyone gathers to enjoy Christmas morning. It's beautiful! At the very least, this is one of the best versions of "Carol of the Bells" going.
