Voices & Stories

As I previewed through the songs I imagined what I’d tell someone who scoffs at this as just noise.
When I close my eyes, I hear each different sound coming into the piece as individual voices, coming together to slowly build a story.
The story doesn’t have, or need, words because it is a story of emotion.
I imagine each of those sounds coming together and rising and falling together, over each other, receding and then building again. With each new instrument, and the way it creates the notes, I have a different reaction to it. Tension, curiosity, fear, weightlessness...
This music is to be appreciated, not consumed like fast food.
Just plain unpleasant

I can’t imagine ever wanting to listen to this or have it playing in the background. Same goes for Together

I can finally give NIN a positive review. Beyond positive.
This is a pleasure in the ear holes. Primo.
Thanks Trent! I knew you still had some piss left in ya. I’ve waited a long time for this.
For those who say....

....it’s good, then I ask how would you feel if you went to a NIN show and this is what they played? Droning ambient crap, plain and simple. Puts one to sleep faster than reading the Old Testament.
Nope

Laying on a synth machine for 2 hours is not NIN. Please channel you’re inner PHM and give us the goods man!?
DOES TRENT SING?

I understand art should be free of boundaries and rules. This album is a perfect example of that. I don’t like it but I don’t have to like it. My decision isn’t for you to consider when deciding if you like it. Have a wonderful day.

An atmospheric horror soundtrack

Ghosts VI is an atmospheric horror soundtrack. It feels like an epic film score. It's not as powerful as Ghosts V, but it definitely holds its own among NIN's Ghosts albums.
