Reminds me of an old classic Western movie. Could easily be Hawaiian music, love how we switchs up the genres. Great traveling and people watching music. Aloha 🍍
  • A Return to His Roots

However many different genres of music Ben has chosen to dabble in over the years and however interesting those songs may have been, there is nothing more pleasing than him alone with a slide guitar. The stark simplicity on this album is so welcomingly crisp and real in an era of overproduction where any natural flaw is treated as an embarrassment. The imperfections here are tangible and you feel as if Ben is over in the corner of a creaking old house playing only to the memories of his own mind. Personally, this is exactly what I’ve been hoping and waiting for from him for a long time.
  • More New Aged than Rock

This is a very sweet guitar instrumental album form Ben Harper. Warms the heart while relaxing the mind. To call it Rock is an injustice to the New Age qualities of this production. I love Inland Empire as a first ear grabber... yet the entire album flows well. Thank you Ben. Love you dude.
