The chorus is just little childish not rock punk Gwen from tragic kingdom or rock steady but not the nice catchy not annoying album this is what the truth feels like. Although I do like what’s not the clap clap part. Especially the line from “garage to penthouse girl” and “I’m throwing my Hail Mary to no one else”

Some parts of the melody that remind me of rock steady’s Start the Fire. I like that. I can hear Gwen there.
I can’t get past the slow clap chorus or the lyrics. This is so far from why I like Gwen. hopefully the rest of the album is more like Love Angel Music Baby 💞

I’ve always enjoyed Gwen’s music, but this song is just cheesy. There’s also something about a woman that’s aging making music that’s trying to sound “relevant” and “fresh”. It no longer sounds cool, but gimmicky.
