After an initial listen, I'm having a hard time making up my mind about Iridescent. Don't get me wrong, it's got some really good tracks on it, specifically Trilogy, Anhedonia, and Till We Have Faces. You definitely will get some "Ah yes, this is Silent Planet" moments. Lots of great vocal moments by Garrett. But it didn't have some of the things I really come to expect with Silent Planet: no definitive album concept that is intricate from start to finish, no footnotes for any of the lyrics, and hardly as many juicy riffs by Mitch that really characterized the last two albums. I feel like they are definitely continuing to grow and try new things, but I'm not sure it will end up sitting above Everything Was Sound or When the End Began.

Every song is so good, and this is easily one of the best albums of the year, if not THE best! Iā€™m gonna be jamming this one for a while

Another great band (a.k.a. UnderOath) that has decided to give up their originality and jump into the sea of political mediocrity.

Each album just builds and builds. This is another excellent album in their growing, terrific catalog. The music rages and you get pulled into the poetic (stand alone) lyrics that explore the dark corners of our fragile psyches. Thought-provoking. Big thoughts and reflections through which listeners feel a palpable sense of pain countered by a restless search for answers. Thank you, SP, for this gift in another difficult year!
  • Very Epic album. Definitely one of their best.

This album has such an epic and thematic vibe. I think this is the best Silent Planet and Putney collaboration yet.
  • Here come the angry Christians.
