One of John William’s best scores! Beautiful and heroic melodies. A masterpiece!

“Lie? Me? Ha ha ha! Never! The truth is far too much fun!”
That truth being that John Williams is the greatest film composer of all time and his score for Hook is one of the best scores of the 90s, the others being Jurassic Park and Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace.
“Banning Back Home”, “Remembering Childhood”, and “The Ultimate War” are just three of the BEST tracks in the album. I just hope they release a 30th anniversary extended edition soundtrack in 2021! There is just so much beautiful music in this movie!

Missing the End Titles Desperately

I love the score to Hook, it is not just one of Williams’ best scores, it is easily the best thing about the movie, single-handedly elevating it into something enjoyable to sit through. But this soundtrack album feels so horribly incomplete without the End Titles Medley. I can’t believe it was left off of this soundtrack! Docking this thing a star because of it.

Hook my not be one of Spielbergs most well received films (I still love it) but the John Williams score deserves to be mentioned along with Star Wars, Jaws, Superman, Raiders, ET etc...as a true masterpiece. The man rarely ever disappoints. I can't say a single score of his truly disappointed me. Hook is one of his most listenable scores. It's enchanting, charming, whimsical, adventurous....this is Williams having blast.
Another John Williams masterpiece

Can't explain how John Williams does it! Another classic! Not as iconic or epic as Star Wars or jaws but subtle themes and melodies that are very enjoyable! Prologue, You Are The Pan, and Presenting The Hook are my favorites! You can imagine the movie in your head as you listen to this! A great addition to my John Williams collection!!
Classic!!!

I remember watching this movie when I was 2 years old with my older brother. The movie and soundtrack brings back alot of Spectacular memories of my youth. This movie and soundtrack is great for kids and adults. Got to love the '90's.
