By far the best album. You would know if you were a true fan. I can't wait for Mercury - Act 1 & 2.
In short…it’s a mess

I was not looking forward to this record after the release of their dreadful first couple singles. To my pleasant surprise, Mercury (Act 1 I guess) has some of their best work since 2015. But for every decent song I found, there were thrice as many absolute garbage. To the band’s credit, they at least are the most experimental they’ve been in a while. But it either falls flat when they do something other than generic crap, or it’s ruined by awful production. This album has some very unlistenable songs. Rick Rubin has proved once more to be the most sought after terrible producer in the industry. Why artists keep hiring him? Because of who he used to be. He’s not that anymore. He’s ruined several records in the past couple decades, and he’s made this one a complete mess.
Definitely a step up from the last two albums

Very well balanced songs that aren’t so repetitive which keeps an awesome rhythm flowing. They’re are only two songs that are just too laid back but not to bad.
Amazing music as always 🤩

I have the album on CD, and although it doesn't include the Enemy bonus track, it's one of the best albums since the band's Smoke + Mirrors.
