Kelly has a wonderful voice, perfectly suitable for a wide range of covers. These covers, however, are not it. Linda Rondstadt already owns "Blue Bayou," Whiteny owns "Queen of the Night" - so why bother. And while her choice of Radiohead's "Fake Plastic Trees" is inspired, I just don't get the emotional connection I get with the lyric when I hear the original. Simply put, when I hear a cover and think "this does nothing to improve on the original" then I don't really need to hear it. This is not terrible, but I'm waiting for Kelly's 'divorce' album of original songs I'm pretty sure she's still writing. She has it it in her.

As always, her voice is pitch perfect. Her range is fantastic. It’s mesmerizing to me to hear her sing. 5++ stars for her singing. However, I do very much hope that she will follow up with additional albums of cover songs. My preference would be for her to do her version of older classics from the 70’s and to branch out to other genres like classic pop and jazz. Please, Kelly?

Oh my gosh I love what you are doing Kelly Clarkson, finally releasing many songs that are done in your style, karaoke Very very inspiring! But we need more! Please release more songs I love it! So awesome. It is a little startling to hear you use a swear word or two. But it is awesome to cry along with you in the pain that you’ve gone through. Not to sound creepy, but my heart goes out to you. I love you you are awesome keep doing amazing work God bless you!!
