This is a gift to everyone who has loved Mr. Simon's music since the beginning. Thank you, Paul. As was said, it is not a Kodachrome, but a thoughtful and insightful reflection. I truly feel that Paul Simon should be our nation's poet laureate.

I agree with Razorback9926-I am a long time fan, I could not make it through the entire CD.

Thank you Paul for such a beautiful album. I've listened to it a few times already and found it deeply personal, with spiritual reflections about life and it's meaning. As we get closer to our final journey, your words and music are deeply reflective. This is not a pop album or music for the masses. No hit singles, but true Paul Simon fans will find this one his best works.

Paul’s voice and guitar playing are both still in fine form at age 81(!). But this album plays like one long dirge. If you’re looking for hooks, melodies, and snappy 3-minute songs, keep looking.
All the critics love this album, which is more of a warning than I can give.
Love me some Paul Simon, I have every record of his. This is dead last in my ranking.

Paul Simon’s Most Artistic Venture

This isn’t the kind of album to be listened to lightly. It’s the kind of thing you switch the lights off and slap on some really high quality headphones for. If you do, you’ll find an album full of unexpected lyrical and musical twists and turns, that really challenges the listener to reflect upon their own life. I won’t say anymore as not to spoil anything, just suffice to say this is one of the best and most powerful efforts Simon has ever put out.
