I have been a swifties for a while but after this album, I kinda don’t like Taylor anymore. She was good for a while but I got tired of her voice after listening to her too much. This album was disappointing to me. I was hoping for something like bejeweled?

A review from a swiftie. Writing this 9 months after released, still my favorite album by miles. I always want Taylor to use more precise, poetic language. It feels odd to me that she can be so beautiful with her words but then she ends up using words like nice so much (bejeweled and wildest dreams prove my point.) I love that she’s experimenting with descriptive language. Also, for those who say she’s not experimenting… GIRL WHAT??? WHAT OTHER ALBUM HAS THIS MANY PIANO SONGS AND GUITAR SONGS AND SYNTHS AND HUHHHHH I’m honestly baffled. most honest, talented, brave, and ofc popular singer of our time. Thank you for giving those who actually care your dairy, your “behind the scenes”. It’s okay to not be okay, Taylor. Thank you for not only letting us know, but for making it into art (while doing a worldwide tour, I may mention?) favs are chloe or sam or sophia or marcus, fortnight (hoping it wins grammies for 2025 🤞its by far the best and only great song on the nominees), who’s afraid of little old me (obsessed), and loml. queen of yet again another year. Look, I like Taylor Swift’s music. 1989 and reputation are two of my favorite albums of all time. Even though I hate country music, I like a lot of hers. I wasn’t a huge fan of her last album Midnights, but it had some tracks that felt distinct from each other and memorable. I could also feel Taylor’s passion for music from that album. For TTPD, I could only remember a couple of songs; Fortnight, Guilty as Sin?, Down Bad, and especially I Can Do it with a Broken Heart. Everything else was either forgettable, or had some of the weirdest lyrics I’ve heard that it ruined the song. I really liked the sound of Florida!!! But the line “and all my friends smell like weed or little babies” really took me aback. Who approved of that line? Pretty much every track on this album other than I Can Do it with a Broken Heart has the same sound. It just felt so rushed and forgettable.

This album is so beautiful. For the people claiming it’s boring and sounds the same clearly don’t understand the depth of the lyrics and songs. A lot have melancholy tones within the lyrics and some of the melodies but that doesn’t mean it’s bad or all the same though that may be why some think it’s all the same. The songs are so well written and the surface meaning of the lyrics has so much more when you actually analyze it. This album is so good it shows Taylor being more vulnerable than she’s ever been in her music. Each song has its own intricate details. And she put her whole heart and soul into this so for a few middle school boys to listen to one song and call the whole album trash are simply wrong it may not be your genre or your favorite singer but it’s still art and it’s for other people who appreciate this(and I say this with no hate everyone has their own tastes you don’t have to like Taylor but you don’t have to come here just to hate but a true fan still might not like this and that’s also perfectly okay!🙂)
