Incredible. I am so glad an album came out with all her great hits. Music of the Heart is such a meaningful song to me. I have been a fan of Reach since I heard played it at the Olympics when I was nine years old. I have been a fan all my life, and her talent and music continues to amaze me.

Different, but Still Good

This compilation differs from Gloria's first Greatest Hits album in two ways. First of all, it contains more upbeat party songs (like her superb remake of Vicki Sue Robinson's "Turn the Beat Around"). That is desirable, seeing as her first compilation was dominated by slow ballads. Secondly, the style of the album as a whole leans more toward modern dance-pop than the traditional latin rhythm of her native Cuba. You don't hear much latin music on the radio, and that unique salsa flavor was what caught my ear when I heard Gloria's music for the first time. In addition, we get some good remixes of some of her hits like "You'll Be Mine (Party Time)," plus the English version of "If We Were Lovers." The new recordings complete the album nicely. However, her son Nayib's remix of "Conga" is forgettable, and not nearly as catchy and addictive as the original. (Sorry, Nayib! Just don't touch mama's music, okay?) But the question remains: To buy or not to buy? I say go ahead. I enjoyed it, and I think you will too.
A Great Second Volume....Yet Some Songs Are Missing....

I am stilling giving this a five star because this Greatest Hits is a new fresh look at Gloria's new work. She has branched out into so many different geners of music that she can safly state herself as a world artist. As I wish she would have put more tracks on this CD that were ablum version, and made the remixes like as bonus tacks....Don't Let This Moment End was missing, as was Higher, and a few other good songs. Yet the Grestest Hits Vol 2, was some what new, listeners can see that Gloria is branching out into new territories....Glori-ous!!!
wow...ummm

The first greatest hits album from Gloria Estefan was much better in terms of the hit songs it included. While this album does have some great songs like "Turn the Beat Around", "Everlasting Love", "Reach", and "If We Were Lovers", many of the others were not quite as popular. However, Ms. Estefan has an amazing and very recognizable voice. The songs are certainly worth checking out, but if you're looking for the songs she is most popular for, check out the Greatest Hits I.
