have been a good fan of Belinda so I admit was very shocked when I saw this cd in a cd store. Floored would be a better word. I listened to the cd, couldnt understand many of the words. So, I didnt think it was fair for me to rate it. However, my grandmother is french and is very critical of stuff. She hardly likes anything, well, she actually thought Belinda Carlisle spoke very well, thought her French was very good. If her French can pass her judgement then who am I to say anything otherwise. Hope she does another English one soon though.
Well worth it!!

What an excellent surprise. Carlisle proves she's grown up but still has the beat. Great songs and excellent production. Most of all Belinda is in great voice here. A must for old fans and new fans alike!
Belinda Carlisle's Voila Delivers!

Get ready for Belinda Carlisle's voice to deliver you to an all new, musical terrain: more than she did as an 80's Go-Go or any prior solo outing. The all-French 'Voila' frames Belinda's vibrato beautifully and emotionally delivers as never before. Brian Eno adds to this welcome departure -- so if your expecting a Go-Go's album be open and very prepared.
'Jezebel' and 'La Vie En Rose' are destined to be dance classics in the vein of 'La Luna', with an assortment of gripping, unforgettable ballads to balance out this release, including 'Contact' a space-aged, new wave, 'Automatic' sounding gem.
Everyone 'Voila' (look here); Belinda is back!
Bravo!

Belinda Carlisle's much anticipated 7th solo venture was well worth the near 11 year wait. I am a dedicated fan and had been sampling some tracks for quite some time from this new album but couldn't believe how incredible the complete album is. You don't need to speak French to understand the message of the music. This reinvention outshines any reincarnation of the other '80's Queens like Madonna or Cyndi Lauper who are great in their own right. Don't be surprised if they try to copy this brilliant recording. Thanks to Belinda and her label for releasing this music domestically in the US and not making me jump through hoops to buy it from the UK like I have had to do in the past. Track 4 is a favorite of mine as well as Track 11 which almost reminds me of something out of the movie Victor Victoria for some reason. The English tracks are not worth the bother, stick to the French tracks. Enjoy and thanks to Ms. Carlisle
Voila !!!!!!

This album is an eclectic sample of styles and great songwriting, no matter what language she's singing in! It breaks your heart, then makes you wanna dance! Belinda and the brilliant Brian Eno create one of the most atmospheric albums out there! Should be in everyone's collection!

So...I was in their fan club in the fourth grade, and still have an undying love for Belinda 25+ years later. I'm a fan of Edith Piaf (sic?), so I was curious. Anyways, it's not for me, but what do I know?
We saw Belinda and the whole gang at the Taste of Newport this year, and they were fantastic, so I thought I'd give this a chance. If you're into the French thing, try April March. If you liked the go go's I would suggest seeing them the next time they're in town. They're as good as ever. I still love you
Belinda! xoxo
Worth the 10 year wait!

What can I say....it was worth the wait. This is a huge departure from her previous work but don't let this all french album discourage you from purchasing it. Belinda's never sounded better and the instrumentation is excellent.
Outstanding

Just bought this, and it's really good - very different. I have not always been the biggest fan of Belinda's solo stuff, but this is really good. I love it.
