I always loved this film but didn't know that all my favorite scenes had been "re-shoots" after Carpenter was unhappy with the original film. The score adds so much to the film's tone, TRULY CREEPY!

John Carpenter's movies are matched only by his uncanny ability to draft a score that gives them even more life. Where the character's he creates send chills up and down your spine, the music that accompanies them sends your senses on end and those little hairs on the back of your neck stand up! This soundtrack, like 'Halloween' and 'Escape From New York,' & "Vampires' is a testament to just how well-rounded John is and how he and his music are a part of the American horror genre. Enjoy!

John Carpenter in his prime was a master filmmaker. This is due in no small part to the fabulous scores he wrote. The Fog is a perfect example of a simple, unobtrusive score adding atmosphere to a film. Try playing this with the lights out. I dare you.

This is one of the great reasons to support iTunes! I have been searching for this soundtrack for years, almost paying $75 + for a CD copy when you can find one and now I was able to get it for 9.99 This is one of John Carpenters best IMHO, a super scary soundtrack to a great 80's horror flick. You will not be disappointed with this one, be sure to get the whole album so you get 'Reel 9' with it. Turn off the lights, hit PLAY and let the horror begin....
