“Say Goodbye Again!”-The very best of Tom Rush is just that; A magnificent compilation of the choicest and most requested tunes form this stalwart storyteller form the old “Club 47” days in old Harvard Square, Cambridge! { We just saw Tom in concert at the newly-restored Cabot Street Theatre in Beverly, Mass.; He put on an impressive show!} One of the very first of the Folk Movement to champion the compositions of (as yet) unknown musicians: Joni Mitchell, James Taylor, Jackson Browne and Jesse Winchester, to only name a few! Plus; Tom Rush’s own stellar songwriting and exquisite guitar picking are an enduring gift!…by Grimmbo.
  • Essential listening.

I received this Cd originally as a gift from a custodian that worked for me in my restaurant a decade ago. He was from the Midwest by way of the Northeast and couldn't believe as a singer/songwriter myself I had no knowledge of Mr. Rush. Indeed. From first listening I was hooked. Besides for a smooth, emotional voice that will just get inside you, he can make a guitar sound like anything from a Jamaican Farewell to a distant freight train. There are many moments that call for listening and re-listening. Personally, I have put 'Galveston Flood' on the playlist i carry with me in my cab and have had the pleasure on turning quite a few fares onto the name Tom Rush. Now quit reading this and spend the ten bucks. You won't be sorry.

This album is a great taste of a great artist and spirit. Been feeding on his music, humor, and 'living life large' since he perfomed at the Club 47 in Harverd Squaire in the 60's. Saw him in Philly this year and he's still got it all.
