Sublime. The voice is still there and sounding warmer, richer, even more amazing. This cd features Barbra in a slightly more dramatic mood than her last album (Love is the Answer). It's atonishing to hear this great American voice again. This is the reason she is the gold standard of popular singing. I only wish Barbra would devote herself to recording full time while her voice is this good. I can dream. This one ought to win the Grammy for Best Traditional Pop album! Enjoy.

I confess that Windmills of Your Mind has never been a top song on my list, but this version of it was so good it literally stopped me in my tracks and made me listen. The sparse instrumentation left the no room for error. The voice, the control is amazing. Not to be unkind, but Babs is not a spring chicken anymore but her voice does not betray her and that is rare in great vocalists. Like her last collection, this is an album of gentle songs wonderfully delivered. The lush instrumental accompaniment on some tracks and that terrific voice throughout are simply Streisand at her best. There is a contemplative quality to the music leaving the impression that this is a singer with nothing left to prove, singing songs she likes for the sheer pleasure of doing it. And it's a pleasure to listen to her do it.

The last album I bought from Barbra was "Guilty Pleasures" and it was wonderful...so was this. Every song was great and worth listening to! Everything she puts out is great. I enjoyed "Little Fockers" too." Wonderful! - Eric here

No one puts out music like this anymore. Yes, it is a 70 y/o voice--but it's Barbra Streisand's 70 y/o voice. The phrasing, the production values, the orchestrations--and, of course, the material. Sublime. Crank it up, sit back, and enjoy. As Barbra negotiates a new Coumbia contract, let's hope there's more of her to follow. Did I say sublime...

Each new album is as good or better than the last. Barbra is not only the greatest vocalist ever, but she knows how to put together the most creative albums ever.
