This is my favorite album of all time for two big parts of my life - concentrating at work and flying red-eye. The album is so amazing - start to finish, you’ll be on a journey that’s simply unlike any other album. You’ll be transported to a layered world where wonderful sounds and surprises will soothe you and give you a heightened ability to concentrate or just zone out.

It's like a toned-down version of Aphex Twin, mixed with Memory Tapes. My only disappointment is that I didn't find this sooner!
Fantastic Production...

Fun ideas / interesting textures / unexpected surprises. When vocals happen they’re “whimsically deep” which is nice. Rhythms are killer - club solid. In a word: Inspiring.
A Good Find!

Thanks, Pandora, for turning me onto Trentemoller! Almost every track on this album is groovey with some deep bass and raw dirtiness. Everything I like!

Lately, I just buy the songs I like off of an album An example would be Pink Floyds' Obscured By Clouds, but the music on this album is so memorable, I bought the whole album! Vamp, Moan, Snowflake are really great, but the rest of the music are not just fillers; they can stand on their own merit. I hope to find more music like it soon!
Too good!

The Last Resort - Trentemoller

"The Last Resort" contains haunting, intriguing sounds throughout. Many of the compositions are strictly instrumental, aside from vocal samples that show up from time to time. The opening tracks feature a grunge bass and fantastic production, the latter point carrying through to the end of the album. 'Always Something Better' and 'While the Cold Winter Waiting' were two of my favorites, the latter featuring bells, along with a combination of sampled, spliced sounds that are staccato but work extremely well within the song. Much of the album is ambient and minimalistic, especially 'The Very Last Resort', which has a very industrial feel. This was another haunting track filled with darker instrumentation, vocals, acoustic guitar, and lots of phasing between sounds. 'Chameleon' is more up-tempo, featuring a deep synth bass; 'Into the Trees' follows this pattern with similar style and presentation, with this track being the more club-friendly of the two. 'Miss You', the closing track, is soft and reflective with less percussion. The bonus tracks are an interesting addition to the album, as vocal versions of 'Always Something Better' and 'Moan' are featured and pave the way for seven new tracks listeners have not previously heard. 'Physical Fraction' takes listeners down a techno, trance road, and 'Polar Shift' follows with more of the same. 'Killer Kat' featured one of the better grooves on the album, and in my opinion was one of Trentemoller's best compositions. 'Rykketid' was also strong and closed the album well in conjunction with 'Prana'.
