Stan Freberg Presents the USA, Vol. 1

Since I own the RHINO CD version of this Stan Freberg compilation, everybody needs to realize this is as noted in the title: Vol.1, as opposed to the jewel box insert calling out Vol 1 (The Early Years) & Vol 2 (The Middle Years). Have not discovered the Vol.2 edition in the iTunes store yet. JUST SAYIN'

Until iTunes fixes their mistake, ignore their wrong Album Review above. This CD has nothing to do with the "Stan Freberg Show" and doesn't include any of the bits listed in their review. Instead, this is Stan's highest-charting album [#34] released on May 1, 1961. It includes the talents of Jesse White, Paul Frees and Billy May. Released as a promo single from this album: "Pilgrim's Progress" b/w "Yankee Doodle Go Home". An appropriate Grand Finale to a brilliant recording career.
