Purple (2019 Remaster)

No sophomore slump. The song writing is varied and fantastic. You can hear the growth on this album with Big Empty, Vasoline and “Interstate”. The originality and creativity is top notch - name me another song that sounds like Vasoline or Army Ants. Dean’s use unusual chord structures is pioneering. Great musicianship as well.

Lounge Fly: 8/10 also weaker Interstate love song: 10/10 great! Still remains: 10/10 great! Pretty Penny: 10/10 great! Silvergun Superman: 10/10 great! Big Empty: 10/10 great! Unglued: 9/10 good. Army Ants: 10/10 great! Kitchenware candbars: 9/10 pretty good!

Anything with “My Second Album” is a classic in my book.

Bold statement here, but it's a top 10 best albums ever released!! It's still sounds fresh 26 years later, just a timeless and fantanstic album!! Pure bliss!

You really can't go wrong with this album. Great lyrics with so many catchy hooks and rhtymns.

Great from start to finish. So many great tracks other than Interstate Love Song and Vasoline.
