Reviews

  • Laying down some great guitar work, and telling more great stories

MCC finally throws down a real hard rock and roll guitar riff on the title song, "Between the Dirt and the Stars". She's a story teller, and as always, if you sit back close you eyes and relax you'll hear amazing storys.

I love this album! So many great songs with the total track being one of her best songs ever.
  • Losing Her Voice?

Not a memorable collection. Her voice, both vocal and written appear to be losing its strength. There is alot of breathiness in the singing, like "Brght Morning Star" from 2007 or "Someone Else's Prayer" from 2001; those songs however are lyrically superior than the songs on this cd. The lyrics and melodies are not her best. Possibly the weakest album in her repertoire. The first three songs are the best, but not quite enter her pantheon of great songs--they are just the best of this bunch.
