Linda followed "Simple Dreams" which mixed, pop, rock, and country perfectly with this set, which increased the stylistic mix to include Elvis Costello (and Presley), plus her first attempt at a standard. Linda's voice holds this album together, but there are a couple of weak spots. Linda doesn't sound comfortable with "When I Grow Too Old To Dream", and I personally don't care for her cover of "Mohammed's Radio". I love the rest, especially "White Rhythm and Blues", "Alison", and "Ooh Baby Baby". This is Linda at the height of her '70s reign as the queen of rock.
