Just repurchased on iTunes...I first purchased this CASSETTE with my cold hard cash (quarters saved from doing chores) when it came out in the 80's. It was the 3rd casseette I purchased, and, as being such in an era when most of us middle class kids could only purchase 1-2 casettes per year (before ATM cards, and the era of living off revolving credit cards), I listened to it over and over. This is an excellet album. Cyndi Lauper is an exceptionally musically gifted person, as was finally realized by her award-winning broadway musical "Kinky Boots".

This LP came to the front and was loved. "Boy Blue" was Miss Laupers` tribute to her friend who had passed from complications associated with A.I.D.s. "Change of Heart" could have addressed the Reagan administration at the time. And "true Colors" has remained a staple amongst Cyndi Laupers` fans. And to many other vocalists, rightfully. I`ll never tire of this LP, or Cyndi Lauper for this matter. Try it out !!

I WAS one of those children who dressed up as Cyndi for Halloween!! When i read that I couldnt beleive it was in the describtion. I was born just two years before this albums realease, but it was something my mother had. And around age 5 or 6 my interest in Cyndi grew. I had this album on a cassette tape and would listen to one side, flip it over, and just do that all day long while playing with my barbies! Just clicking on the samples took my way back. I love this album, even if it is for the pure trip down memory lane I will always have a spot in my heart for Cyndi Lauper!

This is NOT rock music, its more like slow pop, but the songs are still good though. =)

Change of Heart & Boy Blue make this album. The others are damn good, but without tracks 1 & 3, I wouldn't be into it as much. And I'm sorry to say that because I Love Cyndi. She always delivers; she always makes me feel good. "...It just takes a beat to turn it around."

He was who i thought of everytime I heard the song True Colors the album Title song .. The Billy Steinberg and Tom Kelly Hit True Colors has never been so beautiflly interpreted by any other than Cindy Lauper. This Album is a GEM of the 80's
