The show was good, this recording is not.
  • Recording doesn't convey experience.

I was at this concert and in the front row. The other reviews are accurate in that this recording does NOT in any way shape or form capture the quality of her voice or the band. Who knows how this was approved. BUT, having said that, I'm buying it anyway...because the CAUSE is well worth it. I would encourage others to do the same. If you have a chance to see her live, do it. Cyndi's voice is better than ever, and her concert was amazing.

i'm a huge cyndi lauper fan, but this live album has terrible sound, it's a bad mix. and her incredible instrument of a voice sounds off and tattered. should not have been released! she's better than this....
  • Great performance, horrible recording

Cyndi Lauper is incredible live, she sounds phenomenol live, but this recording doesn't do it justice, not sure how this was approved. This would've been five stars if they not only included her entire performance where she does a big chunk of her hits, but if they had someone who knows something about sound quality taping this. Anyone off the street could've taped this, as it sounds like a bootleg.
  • I've heard better!

I too love Cyndi, but this doesn't sound that good. Go go check out Pinmonkey's version of "i drove all night". True Colors???

I LOVE Cyndi Lauper, but unfortunately this album is completely awful. The original studios of these songs rock. This live set really ruined these great classics. If you really want quality live, you need to go to the concerts and experience them yourself. Some live albums are great, but this album was recorded sloppily as far as i'm concerned. In fact it sounds like someone taped this concert with a cheap tape recorder and sent it in. I am not disappointed with Cyndi, I am disappointed with the quality of this recording. Sorry but I'll have to rate this only 2 stars- Thankfully not 1 because Cyndi Lauper is one of my favorite singers.

I saw this tour and it was great, so when I saw this EP I got very excited, but there are problems. It's very poorly recorded, for one thing. It sounds like someone was standing in the audience & started up their cassette recorder. Also, you can hardly hear some of the singing due to the poor quality. The song choice is wonderful, so props for that, but I don't think I'll be giving any of these tracks a second listen. Love you Cyndi!
  • As good as it was in person
